Hi, I am Karim Benharrak!

I design, develop, and evaluate interactive systems to explore the collaborative potential of Human-AI interaction in creative workflows.

I’m a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, where I am advised by Amy Pavel. I also interned at Adobe Research (2x) where I worked on agentic audio editing and AI filmmaking.

Previously, I was a visiting researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University where I was advised by David Lindlbauer and Dominik Moritz. I received my B. Sc. in Computer Science at University of Bayreuth where I studied “AI for better UIs” and “better UIs for AI” together with Daniel Buschek as part of the Research Group on HCI + AI.
